Invisalign
Your smile says a lot about you and you want the message to be a positive one. If you have been considering correction for your less than perfect smile, you may want to consider Invisalign. This is the “clear” alternative to traditional braces. There is often not a need to have metal brackets and wires in your mouth for years in order to correct the alignment of your teeth. Both teens and adults can benefit from the gradual improvement offered by Invisalign. No one will even know you are using the clear aligners because they are virtually invisible. There is very little discomfort with Invisalign and the system allows you to eat and brush normally. Simply remove the aligners when needed and wear them discreetly the rest of the time. Invisalign gives exceptional results with a comfortable, removable, invisible alternative.
The length of treatment with Invisalign varies with each case. The process can take anywhere from six months to a year or more. Dr. Spath will be able to give you an estimate of the treatment time based on your individual situation. Many concerns can be addressed and corrected with the Invisalign aligners. These include:
- Crowded teeth
- Gaps and spaces in teeth
- Relapse after traditional braces
- Bite concerns
The Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear plastic trays that move the teeth gradually. The number of trays in the series varies for each patient. You will progress through the treatment by changing to a different set of trays about every two weeks.
When you visit Dr. Spath to learn about Invisalign, he will start by evaluating your condition to determine if you are a candidate. Once you decide to move forward with the treatment, all of the necessary data will be collected. This data includes photos, x-rays, and impressions of your teeth. All of the information will then be sent to the Invisalign lab and your computer generated, custom trays will be created. Once the trays are ready, you will return to the office to begin treatment.
Dr. Spath and his staff can answer any questions you may have about the process. Come in and learn more about this non-invasive, easy way to have the smile you always wanted.
